Bio
Katey Mills

Mrs. Mills is a wife, mom, educator, musician, and songwriter whose life has always been shaped by creativity, faith, and a deep love for learning. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in education and a major in percussion, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching in elementary education. She also completed a recording school program, further expanding her understanding of music production.
She has taught in the classroom for almost two decades, and prior to that taught private drum lessons, sharing her passion for rhythm and musicianship with students of all ages. But long before she became an educator, she was a young girl writing her own songs, exploring melodies and lyrics that helped her make sense of the world.
After becoming a mother, her songwriting took on a new depth. She began focusing more on Christian songwriting, discovering how music allowed her to connect more intimately with God and express her faith in a meaningful, personal way. Her songs blend honesty and spirituality, shaped by life’s everyday moments and the quiet ways God speaks through them.
When she’s not writing or teaching, she loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, enjoying photography, and soaking in music—whether listening, playing, or creating.
Her goal is simple yet profound: to use all the gifts God has given her, and to share her songwriting in hopes that it encourages, uplifts, and points others toward Him.
